Austin & Manu
German-native, Manu and former Air Force serviceman, Austin, began their adventure & marriage more than 30 years ago while Austin was stationed in Germany in the early 1980’s. After plenty of traveling, relocations, and starting their family, Manu launched a food truck, Let’m Eat Bräts, in Wichita Kansas May 2013. Several years of growing popularity gave the couple the push they needed to start their long-time dream: an actual restaurant serving many of the dishes Manu grew up with.
AJ & Lauren
AJ, Austin and Manu’s son, is sous chef and his fiancee, Lauren, manages the front of house and really keeps this business running smoothly. Together, this dynamic duo are learning the ropes to eventually take over the restaurant so his parents can happily retire. (Let’s be real: do Germans really retire?)
AJ and Lauren live in Wellington on a small plot of land with their chickens, two goats, Noodles and Spaghetti, and two cats.
